Five years today!
Today marks my fifth year on deviantART! (Oh wow I completely forgot about that emoticon!)
I’d been a lurker for a while; the girl I sat next to in Photography A Level showed me her page and I was amazed by her underwater photoshoot - it all seemed so advanced from the rest of our indie/experimental shoots.
When I did join I submitted my A level work and to my surprise got two comments! I didn't really know what to expect – this was the first website I joined with a community, and I certainly hadn't expected comments so soon.

Hello to faces new and old :)
I believe that we are overdue an update here. Loosing inspiration is hard to deal with when you're so reliant on art.
However, after a long period of thinking about other things instead, I find art seeping back in and taking over my mind again. It will take some time to get back into the swing of it all, so please just hold on a little longer whilst I sort myself out.
The past year and a bit has been very happy, living with my partner and our two house bunnies. I've been working full time for over a year now which I still feel shocked about myself.

Thanks for all the nice messages about 'Thunder'; I'm so very pleased it was accepted as a Daily Deviation. It is quite a fantastic feeling to see so many usernames popping up in my message centre, some I recognise and others new, so, hello! Like most artists I just want to share my work as a way of connecting with people, so its a lovely feeling to know so many new people have seen this image.

I have spent the last week being barked at every hour I am in the house. I'm dog sitting and although I'm really enjoying it, I am getting a little tired of the barking from one of the dogs. I think he has memory loss, and he's quite nervous, so I think he keeps thinking he's been left on his own... Its really sad and I'm trying to be sympathetic, he's very old.
We're almost in August, which means its almost been a year since I moved home after no longer being able to work enough to pay my rent. I had hoped to be further than I am now by now, but I can not deny I have made a lot of pro
